Abstract
Lifestyle assessment refers to the collection of data on a person’s daily choices and attitudes in the context of health and fitness. An appropriate lifestyle assessment and relevant plan are essential to the long-term obtainment of goals. The initial meeting allows the practitioner to collect information on expectations, preferences, current and past lifestyle, and beliefs about physical activity (PA) and exercise. This information will not only allow tailoring of the exercise prescription but also the communication style and behaviour change practice (Nigg, 2014).
